• Identify benefits and functional outcomes of casting
• Describe casting pre-assessment, monitoring, and post cast considerations
• Understand types of casts of their unique purposes
• Recognize OTs unique role in using casting as a method for functional outcomes 

Bios:
Bridget Leary completed her undergraduate in biological sciences at Colorado State university and her doctorate of occupational therapy at Creighton University. She currently practices as an occupational therapist at Craig hospital. She has served on the board of Rehabilitation Services Volunteer Partnership Colorado, a non-profit aimed at providing rehabilitation services to individuals with catastrophic injuries without access to insurance. In her free time she enjoys exploring her home state of Colorado, playing the piano and reading.

Melissa Rieger completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University and her masters of science at Colorado State University where her thesis focused on identification of TBI in school aged children. She has served as a graduate lab assistant at CSU as well as worked as a research assistant in the Colorado State University Life Outcomes after Brain Injury Research Center. Melissa currently practices as an OT at Craig Hospital where alongside treating inpatients and outpatients, she is working to develop a multi-state telehealth program for spinal cord and brain injury patients. Outside of her OT activities, she enjoys playing soccer, spending time with her family, and working on embroidery projects.
