Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia:

A Basic Course for Occupational Therapists (CBTI for OT)

This two and one-half day training June 22, 23 & 24 will pair case studies with basic knowledge and tools to help prepare the occupational therapy practitioner to begin the supervised delivery of CBTI to adults. CBTI is now recommended as the first line treatment for chronic insomnia by the American College of Physicians.

The CBTI for occupational therapy faculty—Aaron Eakman, Ph.D., OTR/L and Natalie Rolle, M.O.T., OTR/L—are established occupational therapy providers of CBTI who will offer opportunities for peer consultation, combined with targeted readings of treatment manuals and practice papers, to position established occupational therapists to safely and effectively deliver CBTI. Upon successful completion of the CBTI for OT course, attendees will receive a certificate of completion indicating 18 hours of continuing education.
